i have used my sound bar with both optical and hdmi connections. both have done amazingly. the sound is crisp with little to no lag. that being said, there are some times where i'll be in a streaming application and the sound coming out of the bar will lag enough that the voices don't line up with the mouths. that's irritating to me. turned up the regular speakers at same time and the tv was on que, but not the sound bar. this only happened with the optical, which is the one i mainly use) it was an easy fix though after awhile of messing with it. i would switch the input on the sound bar around to another input, and make it back to the optical input. other then that i love it, i do wish i could operate it with my google home setup though.

If you are looking for a really nice sounding unit for a smaller living room (15X15) or bedroom with a small budget, you need to to give this one a try. I was impressed how easy the setup was and it sounded great right out of the box. However, if you want to change settings, the remote is user friendly and gives you many different options. Again, for the price, you get alot sound for the money!

I needed to replace a soundbar that "gave up the ghost". I already owned a Samsung HD so I wanted to do research on a Samsung. This one satisfied my needs. The Bluetooth let me play the music files from my S5 phone. The addition of the Samsung Audio Remote app was a nice touch. The USB was good as I still have several drives with music files. The remote has raised symbols for easy use. The unit had a very nice price that I didn't need to look any place else. The sound was better than I had anticipated. When I used the phone to play my music files the tone was good. I don't like a lot of bass. As a former drummer I had my share of bassists that could cave your chest from their amps.

I had trouble connecting to my TV . My TV isn't I a Bluetooth had to use the wire to connect the device to TV found it a little hard to understand the instructions wasn't to clear, But once set up properly it has a great sound once it was hooked up. I love it.

Was very happy when I received my Samsung soundbar as a birthday present then I got to open it and realized that I had no optical cable I had no so basically I am now scrounging to find some things that will work so I can actually listen to it if someone reads this could they please mail out my items that would complete my soundbar you have my email address

I've had the sound bar for a few days now and it's been awesome. Installation was simple and straight forward and only took a few minutes to synch it with my samsung TV. At first I didn't think I'd want the subwoofer but I'm glad I got it because it made a huge difference. Just in time for Super Bowl weekend next week :)

Had to buy a new one with new tv, checked around and found this one at Target with a good price so purchased it, no problem setting up for an older senior, works great as the tv speakers just don't cut it, had an older sound bar on old tv so was already sold on how good they worked.

The design is sleek though it's not very exquisitely beautiful. It is a bit limited for this product to interface with our non-Samsung TV since there's only AUX port and the audio output power signal is rather low (not amplified), so we need to increase the volume when interfacing with the TV. On the other hand, the bluetooth interface is really nice and handy for me to play music directly from my smartphone using Spotify. Overall, this product is a really good value for money as it offers mid quality for its sound.

The price was right for us. Great for everyday use in our home. Tried the bar sound with news, movies , sports and children's shows. Great clarity, sound and loudness are all understandable for hearing enjoyment. Subwoofer gives great base sound especially when your watching movies with action. Great buy ! Glad I chose this one ! Highly recommend to anyone.

This was the perfect balance of cost, name brand, and functionality. I was looking for. I've been looking at buying a soundboard for the past month and after looking at the competition and other offerings offered by Samsung I decided this was the best fit. It puts out great highs and lows and has the performance of much higher coated soundbars fromother companies. Would definitely buy again in the future if needed.

This soundbar is extremely good for the money. Has a very nice sound , like it very much when watching a movie. Make a big difference from the TV speakers. Also, the wireless make it flexible for installation. If you are in for a small expenditure, this is it.

A decent soundbar for the money. It's got a nice footprint, doesn't take up a lot of room at all. It's sounds great, really clear. Of course, to hear any bass, even with all the subwoofer controls turned up all the way, you have to turn up the system pretty loud. Once there, the sound is really full. It seems it was designed to act as a whole system throughout the volume spread, so there's no real custom control. I guess the downside is that if you want that movie rumble at low volume, this isn't the soundbar for you. But if you want a nice sounding package that's compact, it's great. The auto on/off feature is cool.
The subwoofer is connected and is controlled by the bar itself, but the connecting speaker cord is long enough to offer plenty of position options. The various sound configurations are accomodating enough to fit most situations.
Since lower priced options sound the same or, at best, just a little better, it's a good value.

The soundbar was extremely easy to connect to the tv. I am impressed with the adjustments on it such as variable freq. adjustments. I love the fact it has an auto shut-off so if you forget, it will turn itself off after a while if no sound is reaching it.
Also, I now have it set up so it turns on when the tv is turned on.. another feature I like.
It sets up perfectly in front of a 43" tv!

Since I lost part of my hearing, I wanted a sound bar to see if that would help me hear the TV. Sure enough, the Samsung Sound Bar has helped and my wife quit telling me to turn the TV sound down. The sound is much clearer for all the shows. I do have a learning curve to determine which sound will benefit me the most; that is, sports, movie, etc as Samsung has variations as to which type of sound a person wants the Sound Bar to improve.
When I initially hooked up the Sound Bar, I couldn't get any sound. I called the tech support and the lady told me what to do to get the Sound Bar to work. I was using an audio cable, but she said to use the optic cable. Works great.
Nice product and well worth the money.

Setup was very easy and the sound was very good. It sounds as good as higher priced soundbars at low to medium volume. It may not match the more expensive and higher wattage soundbars but at the price it's a good deal.

I purchased this sound bar to go along with my newly purchased 50 inch 4k UHD Samsung Smart TV. The setup was really easy and the performance is astounding, especially when you turn up the volume. Excellent sound, many features, easy to set up. Woofer can be controlled for more or less volume.
Only negative is that the back of the woofer is not finished in black like the front and sides. Finish has a particle board look.
